The key to exercising is finding something you enjoy and look forward to, then it’s less of a chore. I remember in my Uni days I ran because I thought I should. ‘Running is good for me ‘ I thought. And I hated every minute of it! It hurt-everywhere. So I gave up. I returned to road running at a later stage of my life and I kind of enjoyed it -more for the friendships I made. The running itself was demanding, uncomfortable at times both physically and mentally. I felt that if I stopped to walk, I’d failed in some way. Then if I tried to run again, I’d lose my rhythm.
